My husband and I were looking for our first home and a realtor my husband is friends with (but works outside of our area) recommended Kathy Prue of Ashley Wilson.

Buying a home for the first time is intimidating and our experience when we talked to people in the past wasn’t great. A lot of individuals seemed to look down on our lack of knowledge and weren’t approachable in a way that the realtor handling your first ever purchase should be.

Kathy really put us at ease and has a very down-to-earth, approachable and personable way about her. We could tell she had experience, but she was still happy to answer the questions that we as first-time home-buyers had. We didn’t feel judged or looked down on, which made the process easier because we could be vulnerable and we felt that she would tell us what we needed to know in an informative way, not a judgmental way.

I know she had other clients that she was working with, but we felt like her only clients. She answered questions promptly and made herself available outside of office hours for quick phone calls or questions.

Overall she was incredibly nice, personable and positive. We really enjoyed working with her and will do it again!

Once our offer was accepted we worked with Shauna from the Closing Department as well. She was also very friendly, positive, knowledgeable and approachable. From our understanding most companies don’t have two separate departments this way, but they should. It meant that we had a person who had expertise in the specific part of the process we were going through and was (reasonably) available to answer questions. With Shauna specifically working on the closing of our house, and Kathy providing service and helping with the logistics where needed, we never went more than a day without a response to an email and most of the time it was within hours or immediately the next business day. That’s so nice when you’re going through this process for the first time.

Honestly, the saddest part about closing is that we won’t be in constant contact with these incredibly friendly folks! At least for a while (hopefully). I’m recommending this team, and specifically Kathy Prue to everyone we know that needs to buy or sell property!

I was lucky enough to work with Janie as my agent. Despite the less than optimal conditions surrounding the market currently, Janie worked tirelessly to get my home sold. She made herself available for any questions I had and was super prompt and thorough! She is super tenacious and well suited to her craft.

Closing was painless and my closing agent Shauna was just as thorough and readily available for my questions and concerns. Very happy with the team and impressed that despite the market they got the sale done!
