Jewel Richardson's comment is false. This elementary school is friendly for all ages of children, the staff is always very helpful when it comes to anything needed for a child. Trust me I graduated from this school it was most likely the best environment for me to grow up at.
But as for bugs in this school..yeah that's not true.

A ridiculously good school. This place puts my elementary experience in Charlotte to shame. Helpful and approachable staff and teachers proactively communicate with parents. Afterschool activities abound - chess, golf, tennis. I hear fencing is available. Annual Science Fair is open to all. There are also special events for the whole family - Cultures of Kindness night was amazing and well attended. Looking forward to our first annual "Olliefest" this Spring! I haven't seen any trailers at Oak Grove, like at other schools. Students' writing and art work adorn the halls throughout the school, and it is impressive, even at the kindergarten level. On school tour, kindergarteners were in small groups reading books to each other (!!!). Classrooms make good use of Smartboards. Judging by the students' work, the published EOG test scores, and my own personal experience, I would rank Oak Grove as one of the premier public schools in the triangle.
