Peaceful easy hike! Lovely place for the pups too.
Take a truck to park in the "lot"
Beautiful. Barely touched area. Loved how quiet it was. Definitely wear pants on the unmaintained trail. But loved the secluded vibe.
Park on the Zebulon Rd side as there's an actual drop-off for parking, instead of worrying about parking on the street on pulley town Rd.
Some parts of the preserve are pretty unique and scenic. The rest are left wild and are hard to traverse, but some people might enjoy that. The whole area isn't too large.
1 of the best places to carry your small ones,or your dogs. Great picnic site, but with your imagination. Is a great spot for rc crawlers, waterproof recommended! Very relaxed spot to enjoy some peaceful views & sounds.
Has little parking just off a 55mph road though,be careful exiting the pavement!
This is a fun place to explore if you don't mind getting wet, muddy, or (potentially) lost. It claims to be a state park, but is really more state land. There's no maintenance to the area, so please pack out your garbage, it's gross. Also, trails are where you put them. The Little River runs through the middle of the area so to cross from one side to the other you'll have to get wet, or hope for a fallen tree. Also, there is poison ivy everywhere so be prepared with long pants and close toed shoes. If you can look past all that, it's a beautiful park and lots of fun to explore. Just please remember your mom doesn't live there, clean up after yourself. 🌎♥️
