“RecentlyI made a recording of some of my personal and family history through the Family Legacies Project. Doing so brought back wonderful, and sometimes touching, memories. I confess that occasionally I became teary, while at other times I was smiling and laughing re-telling fun stories from my past. My children and grandchildren have listened to the recording. They have all said that they learned things about me and their grandparents (as well as great grandparents) that they never knew. They have told me how happy they are to have this recording as a way to preserve family history in my voice. “I just had to share what a completely wonderful experience my son and I had at this pharmacy today. We had two separate appointments at two different times for a vaccine. The pharmacist was so friendly and remembered some details I mentioned about my son at my appointment early in the day and mentioned those things to my son at his late appointment, to my son's delight. He gave my son a little bag of goodies for doing a good job being brave. As we sat on a bench outside the pharmacy eating some of the goodies right away, per my son's request, we noticed a sweet interaction of a pharmacy tech coming around to the customer side of the window from inside the pharmacy to greet and comfort a customer. It's truly refreshing to see this level of personal care.”
