I booked a VIB appointment and I cant recommend them enough. Elizabeth helped with the initial try on and she was so amazing in helping me pick out dresses that fit my style and not just what is popular. Penny handled my fitting appointment and she was also amazing and knowledgeable. She accommodated the requests I had and worked to help me stay within my budget while still getting the look I wanted. I can't recommend Formality enough and was so happy with my dress and experience.

If you’re reading this, stop what you’re doing and make an appointment ASAP!!!! I am still in awe of how amazing my experience was at Formality Bridal!! I HIGHLY recommend you book the VIB Deluxe Appointment (Geneva location).

First of all, it’s located in an old church (such a neat aesthetic) — they have the original stained glass windows (AMAZING!) and they set it up to feel like you are walking up the aisle as you are picking out dresses!!! I mean c’mon how magical is that?!?

Second, the VIB lounge (Deluxe appmt) where you try on/showcase your dresses offers ample natural lighting for you to really get a good look. The lounge was also just perfect in general for our group to hang out. Beside the lounge is the bridal suite that I used to get dressed — I absolutely loved how it was set up- neon lights, a couch, ample space to try the dresses on, etc. I loved having my own private suite!!!

Third, being a plus size girlie I was a little nervous about selection/styles/general availability dress shopping, but they keep (at a min) 1/3 of their inventory at all times in plus sizes. I had no issues finding my dream dress! It’s absolutely stunning!!!

And finally- the customer service was out of this world! Liz was our bridal consultant and she went above and beyond. She was so genuine, so enthusiastic, so kind, and so extremely helpful!!! I never felt stressed, and I felt so confident in everything I tried on! She has the best energy and personality — I felt so comfortable with her— she felt like an extension of my group!

All around this was such an incredible experience. I’ve been to a handful of bridal boutiques in the past as the MOH and I can tell you that won’t find this elsewhere. Formality is truly a gem!!!!

I recently booked a vip appointment here and had the best experience. Heather spent 2 hours zipping me in and out of dress, making me laugh, and being incredibly patient with me and my family. At the end of the two hours I still could not fully make up my mind about a dress. There were just too many lovely dresses to pick from! Heather was so kind and understanding. She knew I lived 3 hours out of town and was only going to be in town for another day. Because of this she gave me her personal phone number AND offered to come in on her day off to make sure I had enough time to make up my mind and retry on dresses. Heather ended up coordinating everything so I could go in the next day and try on dresses with Elizabeth. Getting to work with both of them made me realize how kind, patient, and helpful everyone here is. I could not recommend this shop enough. Finding your wedding dress is one of the biggest decisions you make and I was so thankful I had amazing women helping me find my perfect dress. Thank you Heather for making my first dress try on so special and one to remember! And thank you Elizabeth for helping me pick THE ONE! I’m so thankful!❤️❤️❤️

I discovered this dress shop through a friend, even though it was an hour's drive away. Before scheduling an appointment, I had a conversation with the owner, who made me feel completely at ease and welcomed any questions I had. On the day of my appointment, which was initially set for 90 minutes, we had to wait an extra 20 minutes for my mom, who was running late. The staff was incredibly understanding and patient, ensuring we didn't start without her.

The shop had an extensive selection of dresses, which was particularly important to me as a plus-size bride, given the limited options at other stores. I tried on several dresses, although unfortunately, none matched my vision. However, what pleasantly surprised me was the affordability of the dresses – the best prices I had encountered throughout my dress-shopping journey.

The staff was not only helpful but also very knowledgeable, and I never felt rushed during the process. They even reassured us when my mom arrived late. The shop itself was impeccably clean, and the dresses were neatly organized. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone in search of their dream dress. Heather and Penny were both amazing and exceptionally kind!
