The best place to learn and study martial arts. I have had some of the best instructors ever. The training I have received has taken me all the way to the AAU national championships and many other great experiences. The instructor is great with kids teaching them the history behind karate and its purpose. I am proud to call Master Steve my instructor and friend. I will continue to where his patch on my chest proudly represent his school every chance I get.
As a Senior Black Belt in other systems, it was an honor and privilege to step on the mat with this martial arts family. As a 30+ year veteran of martial arts, I highly recommend this school and learning environment. It is very well structured, awesome people on the mat and top tier training. If you are looking for self-defense or just a place to have fun, sweat, grow, advance and learn in the Bethel, Ohio area - I highly recommend this organization.
I am looking forward to being on the mat with the Universal Karate Academy again very soon. Shihan Jim W. Alcorn
Can't say enough good things about the way that Steve Dalheimer runs this school.
It may seem like a small school in a small town, but it's an incredible gem of a place and I wouldn't trade his leadership for anything. He does an amazing job with the kids and his passion for excellence and education is infectious.
If you're located anywhere near this place, I highly recommend checking it out!
My daughter loves this school. She is a small girl and it gives her confidence, plus it gets her off the electronic devices. She is always surprised at how well she does at local competitions. Steve is very patient with the kids and has developed a technique to teach younger kids the basics of karate. He emphasizes self defense and not just "play" which is something my wife and I both appreciate.
My son is 13 years old and is a multi sport athlete. He decided to try Karate at the Universal Karate Academy in Bethel Ohio and we are SO pleased with the experience we have had! He was looking to improve his balance, discipline, and flexibility and has experienced ALL those benefits and more! Steve Dahlheimer is very knowledgeable on many levels and is a fantastic role model for the children in his program! I highly recommend this program!!
