Cowan Lake State Park Campgrounds & Cabins

This is a quiet and very well-kept place to visit or if you like to camp out. The entire park and campgrounds is maintained by an amazing group of staff members that make sure your visit is enjoyable and secure at all times. There's plenty of wildlife to capture in videos, or if you fish, this lake has enough variety to keep you satisfied. Come see for yourself. You won't be let down!

We had our son's 18th birthday party at our campsite as well as our guests explored what the park had to offer. They rode bikes and various skate things about. Our dog had a fun trip except for the lease business. My advice is bring 3 times the firewood you think you will need and I believe only the handicap spaces come with a charcoal grill and picnic table so take that in consideration.

Nice sites. Commissary is good too. Campers are pretty rude here. Kids not controlled. So many golf carts driving around. They're loud and shine headlights right in your campsite

We stayed here with some friends a week ago and had great experience. We stayed on site 212 which was not the best site but I love that loop. There are lots of trees so you feel like you are out in nature. Our site had lots of tree roots right beside the slab that your camper gets parked on so it was not very smooth to be able to sit under our awning, but thankfully because we were with friends we spent most of the time around the communal firepit. Not a lot of campground roads to do a long cycling workout for me but there was enough for my wife to run. We never got a chance to go out for a long hike but we took a short trail to the lake for some beautiful views. It was a great campground and we will go back. The campground hosts were very helpful and always around to help.
