For someone who is handicapped I was incredibly pleased that they offer wheelchairs I had a great time with my husband and my son
People are friendly. Seated right away
Nice wall decor in CLE airport.
Going to the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio was like an astronaut finally going to the moon... Music is, has and will always be one of my favorite things in the world...Though I love and appreciate all genres of music, I am a classic rock girl at heart...I have been there more than once and no matter what season it is never disappointing... The building itself is a work of art... Really a contemporary feel inside and out...There are so many nostalgic things to see and hear that you can spend much of the day going room to room and floor to floor that it is almost dizzying... Though I consider myself to be quite the scholar on most things music, I felt like a total novice discovering all of the vintage memorabilia and photographs of not only my favorite bands, but some I have never heard of. Every where you turned was some fascinating image or relic from rock music past and present. Each room in this musical castle offers up colorful posters, personal, candid photos of artists and groups and even video footage of the music revolution from it's beginning to end. The giftshop made me feel like a kid in the candy store as my eyes darted from racks and cubicles of tee shirts , sweatshirts, leather and denim jackets embellished with pictures of rockstars and groups, books, magnets, postcards and more items from iconic groups of yesteryear...The souvenirs, some which cost a pretty penny, were a purchase one would never regret investing in...My favorite thing of all was the temporary display that greeted us as we walked towards the entrance...More than 100 hand painted giant sized guitars with images or paintings of various things such as a beautiful lion, a lovely lady, an alligator, a cityscape, and one Beatle inspired guitar that was totally awesome...Words can do
this experience no justice...You have to go to there and check it out for yourself...I truly believe that coming here is something different for everyone mostly because along with each rocker or musical group these sounds and images denote a time and/or place in each of our lives...And that is interpreted differently by every fan of Rock N Roll...So what are you waiting for???
Well much to my surprise we went way over the time allotted . Well upon walking in met a cheerful man by the name of Charles the man is a great lover of his job and to be honest I would be too, thanks to him and his love for his exhibits we ended up spending ove 6hours there and still did not get enough of all the nostalgia . I for one can not wait to get back to Akron next year since my son will attend the world team wresting tournament and I again will going back to this venue to get my Rock fix.
