Lava Room is the gold standard for recording in the Midwest. I’ve worked with them on several projects and their staff, facilities, tech and knowledge are unmatched. The number one thing I look for in a studio is a space and an engineer that allow me to feel the most creative and Mike Brown and company nail it every single time. Stop looking. You found the place. Booked my sessions without any troubles! Was able to call ahead and ask specifics, was easily able to find out details about available gear/staff. Brought in my own engineer easily, and staff worked well with him. Overall an amazing and very smooth experience with great rooms and great staff. Highly highly recommend.

My band’s been working on a project the past couple months here, and we have to say everything is top notch! Every single person is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable! The atmosphere is very relaxed but still professional. The prices are reasonable and we haven’t had any problems with quality or professionalism whatsoever. I went to The Lava Room in January and February to record my third album. I worked with Mike while I was there, and let me just say that this was the BEST studio I’ve ever worked in. Not only was Mike extremely professional, but he made me very comfortable and never ran over my ideas. He worked with me on what I wanted my sound to be for this album and was great to bounce ideas off of as well as contribute amazing ones! The Lava Room was very clean and had plenty of amps and equipment to choose from. Everything was done in a timely and efficient manner, AND Mike had developed a schedule that was very easy to follow! I am beyond THRILLED with the sound quality and how my songs have come together. I will definitely be coming back to The Lava Room for my additional music needs! I HIGHLY recommend this studio and the wonderfully talented people that work in it.
