“Amazing experience! A friend and I booked the Super Sweet Spa Party, which was even better than imagined. We had a private salt room with Marlene. She was fantastic! We each got chair massages, hand and arm massages, and a foot salt scrub. Just being in the room was relaxing enough - everything else was an added bonus! All of the staff were super kind and helpful. I love all of the local products they sell in their shop, and ended up purchasing some local salt hair spray. I definitely recommend this for private groups, small gatherings, special occasions, or just when you need to relax. I can’t wait to go back and try the sauna!”

“Mom and Dad have made their home at the Athenian Village for the past two years. When my sister and I began looking for Assisted Living facilities, we anticipated a long search. The Athenian was the second place we visited, and we quickly realized our search was over. It doesn't have that "hospital" or "institution" vibe at all. Rather, the dining room feels more like a family restaurant. The food is excellent, with a daily menu. My Mom, who is a very picky eater loves the fact that there is always an alternate menu selection. She really loves ice cream, too! Their little apartment is amazing, complete with a small kitchenette. Athenian Village is clean and well maintained. The best part is the team, led by owner Ed Gates is professional, friendly and treats their residents like family. We have been caught up in the bureaucracy of filing for Medicaid for Mom and Veteran's Assistance for Dad for almost two years now. Mr. Gates has been patient, kind and informative as we are navigating these difficult roads. His leadership team includes Rita, Director of Nursing and Administrative Assistant Kathleen. Both of these ladies are outstanding and we look forward to seeing them each time we visit. Mom and Dad love when Nurse Practitioner Denise visits, and receive outstanding medical care from Nurses Jackie, Amy and Theresa. We are so grateful to have found the Athenian Village. “The studio was beautiful, upon arrival my partner and I did not realize we needed to bring mats ( prior studio provided them), but understandably because of COVID they weren’t. No biggie! The owner of the studio was nice enough to book us later for one last with a complimentary class for hot power flow yoga ( which was very very cool) and a beginners yoga class a few days later. My ONLY draw back was a lack of direction in the beginners class, it was just too fast and ultimately not relaxing at all. The hot power flow was very fast paced ( totally cool) which made me and my partner want something hot, but also relaxing and meditative during the practice. In addition to that the prices here were very high in my opinion. Again, these are just my opinions. Not necessarily negative, but just some general feedback from a beginner who wasn’t looking to jump right into it, but simply try it out.”
