“I received a tour this afternoon by Duncan who was extremely knowledgeable and generous to take over an hour to give me a tour of the place and answer all my questions. He was an expert on the house and has clearly put a lot of work into curating the museum. I really enjoyed learning about many objects and the home’s history-there are so many cool things to learn and artifacts to see over a 200-year history. The grounds are beautiful in the middle of a busting midtown neighborhood. I was told a tornado did some damage to the gutters/soffit that will soon be repaired!”

“A great place! My father, an architect, helped remodel the historic house to bring it back to its glory days. They hold monthly historic talks which I love to go to, I always learn a lot. They also give students free group tours - ask your school to contact them for this benefit, they receive lots of letters from students thanking them. Compared to other historic homes, I bet you're going to love this one... lots to look at and knowledgeable people to assist you with questions. Volunteer time if you have interest and live near by. Or donate to help in the up-keep of the house. Or just show your support by visiting and telling others like I just did. Love their ice cream social each year!”

“What a powerful and moving experience. The museum, which is very professional and thorough, focuses primarily on the roles and experiences of Jewish communities in northeast Ohio. “This is a nice house. I went here to go on a tour of it and was satisfied with my experience. The tour started in the gift shop across the street and went into the house through the front door. Once we were in the house, we went into the kitchen, and living room, then up the stairs to the second floor, where we went into the bathroom and the bedroom that the kid from A Christmas Story slept in (I forgot his name). After we went in his room, the tour group went into the back yard and then back to the gift shop, thus ending the tour. I gave this house five stars because it has been preserved to be exactly like it was in the movie. It’s also a nice house and I wouldn’t mind living there.”
