It was a good time. Except for the one lady who thought my dog was being too rough with her little yappy dog. I thought they used to have a water area for little dogs like they do for the park area. They could use a bench or two in the shaded area.
We taught our pup how to swim here! The fenced in beach is perfect for rambunctious dogs who might normally try to take off.
This is a wonderful dog park. My dog especially loved the water park. Well done.
I just wanted to add a photo that I thought was funny. This was inside the dog park and is probably a first aid kit. Whomever put the flag up probably thought it was the American Red Cross but in actuality it is the flag of the Country of Switzerland 😂😂😂🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭
I was excited to bring my girl here. Not only is there a dog beach but there is also a fenced in place for your dogs to just play. The beach it's self is decent. A bit muddy but it's clay mud and well it's Alum Creek. I was just happy that I could actually swim with my girl and with there being a fence all around the area she could run free and make all her new furry friends. Everyone was so nice and not once did I not see a parent clean up after their pet. There was chairs provided as well as a bench and plenty of room for a blanket or your own chair and there was toys that was already there. I added my own floating squeaky toy there for another fur baby to enjoy.
My puppy absolutely loves it. There is a separate dry park (small/large) and then an awesome fenced in beach down on the shore that is also roped off so they cannot swim too far. A hose was added near the bathrooms to wash off after play time. Other owners seem attentive to their dogs and no one seemed to bring aggressive ones in.
There are people who bring toys and stuff in - so if your dog doesn’t 100% agree with drop it/leave it, you might irritate a few people. (Whoops - he’s a puppy)
