Our house was struck by lightning, fire broke out and was rapidly spreading from the metal lined chimney to the roof line. I immediately called 911 and the Olive Green, Porter Central Fire Department was on scene in no time. They did a spectacular job! Their quick response time and decisive action saved our home. They extinguished the fire with minimal damage to the property. I really appreciate the care they showed for the contents of our home. The fire chief, Michael Thompson, was cordial and professional. Our community is blessed because of their service!
