The care my Dad received while at the Pickering House his final 7-days of his life (May 25th-June 2nd 2021) was nothing short of amazing. The nurses, aides, doctor, cooks and volunteers were all passionate and loving. I was so thankful i was allowed to stay there with my Dad 24/7 for an entire week until my Dad passed on to his eternal home 🙏
If you spend time here at the facility you will surely feel the presense of angels 😇
This place and the employees touched my heart so much that i changed my 26-year career in production/manufacturing to come work here full time because i just had to be a part of this facility.
It's never easy losing a loved one but i know for a fact (cause he said so) that my Dad was happy at the Pickering House and was at peace.
The CEO, nurses and greeters have gone above and beyond to ensure the comfort of my family and grandfather during his last days. A group of staff members also came to pay respects during a military pinning that they conducted for him. We feel so lucky that we’ve been able to spend time with him in such a comfortable environment. Thanks so much to all of the kind nurses here and other staff. Such a blessing.
My friend was there until he died peacefully yesterday, I have to say everyone there were supportive & took great care of Charlie. When I say everyone I do mean everyone, even the custodians are very caring & interact with people. I just loved Chester the cat. I am sending a huge heartfelt thank you to everyone especially the nurses, everyone goes the extra mile to help even when something might not be in their job description. I just wish the place my mom was at in FL was as great as Pickering House, such a beautiful place.
In the last 14 months, both my mother and mother-in-law have spent their last view days/weeks at the Pickering House. In my opinion, there is no better way to get to the inevitable. Death is never pleasant, but the entire setting, nursing staff, doctors and even the cook staff were awesome! Patients always came first, as they should.
As you review posts, remember that some people can not be satisfied and sometimes people love drama.
I have never been let down by FairHoPe or the Pickering House.
Great job guys, keep it up!
