On our visit the cemetery was well-maintained in both the newer active portions as well as the older sections. Cemetery section signs help locate folks are not very prominently displayed, but are of a historical design and blend in with the surroundings. Signs of conservation and preservation of monuments is present as many old marble stones appear to have been cleaned appropriately as well as a presence of multiple multi-piece obelisks that are level and upright. Marble markers close to the ground, such as children's, are in need of restoration, but are mostly free of grass clippings that often plague these smaller markers. The maintenance of trees appears to also be well-managed and very little intrusion to graves was noted. This burial ground was also found free of litter or overflowing trash cans.
Overall this mid-1800's to present cemetery was picturesque and in fine repair with the only issue being signage that was clearly visible.
Pleasant and caring staff.
Beautiful and well taken care of cemetery to walk through. There are a lot of historical graves, a veteran’s memorial, fountain, and mausoleums. My family really enjoyed walking through the cemetery and seeing a piece of the history of the region.
Such a peaceful area to be in.
It sounds morbid, but my family and I walk here often, and it seems we're not the only people who do so. This is a beautiful cemetery. This is a beautiful resting place for those who have passed on. The oldest person I found was born in 1789. Almost as old as our country.
