I love Southwest. I had recently had surgery (it was a good thing) and had to use a wheelchair. They went out of their way to help me with my bags, make sure I was comfortable. Exiting one plane the airport didn’t have any people available to help me get up the ramp, suddenly I hear a gentleman say, “hood my bag” and he starts pushing me. We get up to the gate area and IT. WAS. THE. PILOT! I regret I didn’t get a picture with him or his name. I was so cold and painful. I Will remember him. Thank you. Thank you for making the trip as easy and hassle free as it could possibly be.
Columbus airport on the Southwest Gate is pretty clean. Restrooms are maintained as well.
Arriving here at 6:30pm took me about 45 minutes to get through TSA.
They have a new X Ray Machine that do not require us to take out any laptops or computers from our luggage. So it took a little longer to get through.
Once in the Gateway, restaurants were calling last call and some of the kitchens were closed. Donatos had to close their kitchen because someone called in.
My flight was delayed so I had to get on another flight to try and get home.
Overall, airport is pretty easy to get in and get out.
If your renting a vehicle, you get on a van that takes you to rent center and vice versa. The attendants there are working hard to get you on a vehicle.
Good luck on your next flight.
I am flying 4 or more times a month this year. I have flown frequently over the last 15 years and fly Southwest 99% of the time now. I love their customer service and great culture and attitude. Sometimes the pilots will even give a tour of #columbus and sneak in a flyover of #theshoe #osu #southwestairlines
We flew from Columbus to Orlando and then back, we had been delayed both ways due to weather and employee shortage which was no fault of the airlines. Chelsea at the Columbus Southwest was amazing! She saved the day by helping me with my elderly mom and disabled sister in a wheel chair! What a breath of fresh air! She pushed the wheel chair and even got all our bags off the belt and Helped us to our vehicle! Thank you so much! You made the experience so much better!!!! Thanks again Chelsea!
