Clinton Heights Lutheran Church

Went with family for Easter service.

Very nice church

On New Year's Eve 2018, I attended "Dances of Universal Peace" [an annual interfaith event] at Clinton Heights Lutheran Church. "Dances of Universal Peace" usually meets at Columbus Mennonite Church [several blocks to the north] but that church had been unavailable on this particular New Year's Eve.

While certainly a pleasant location for "Dances of Universal Peace," Clinton Heights Lutheran Church is only minimally accessible to people with limited mobility.

The entrance to the room in which we had been dancing is at the top of a flight of external metal stairs on the north side of the building.

There is a grade-level [wheelchair-accessible] entrance to the church on the south side of the building but that entrance had been locked on New Year's Eve and the room in which we had been dancing is up a flight of stairs [inside of the church] from that entrance. The bathrooms are down that same flight of stairs.

I believe that it is possible to get into and out of the sanctuary [which is closer to N. High St.] directly from the sidewalk; however, much of the rest of the church is up or down multiple flights of stairs; the architecture is similar to that of a "split-level" house and would be extremely difficult to modify.

Great community Church!

I have been a member for over 15 years. This is one of the most welcoming churches I have ever attended. This is a very musical church with a Senior Choir, Sunday School Choir and a Handbell Choir.
I would recommend this church to anyone in the Columbus area.
