  Heard a really good sermon here. Also their music program is strong. Cool mid 20th Century architecture.

  I attended several high-quality musical events recently at St. Mark's Episcopal Church.
  
  • A Service of Light in the Taizé Tradition for The Epiphany [1-6-2019]
  
  • OSU Symphonic Chorus [1-27-2019]
  
  I had been intending to attend the Taizé Service for the previous several years but I am glad that I actually did attend this year.
  
  All attenders of the Taizé Service sat in the chancel [the raised area at the front of the sanctuary] [I believe that St. Mark's calls that area "the choir"]. The setting had been quite intimate; I had been sitting immediately behind the conductor [who I later met and spoke with] and several of the instrumentalists.
  
  A reception [including champagne which I had not been expecting] immediately followed the Taizé Service.
  
  I am very much looking forward to the following upcoming musical event.
  
  • Choral Evensong with the Saint Mark's Choir [3-3-2019]

  This is the first Episcopal church that I attended regularly. I was baptized and confirmed here. My Dad was a staunch member of the congregation. I love this church and its various programs. In particular, I love the recently completed pipe organ, which is adequate to awaken my departed Dad on Sunday mornings!

  Great place for fellowship, worship, ritual and scholarly discussion about the Christian faith. Also, the food at coffee hour is always great!
