If you're looking for authentic, Laotian, Thai and Vietnamese food, this is one of the best places in Columbus! I've been to many and I only leave reviews after I've visited an establishment a few times. And this one hits all the positive marks!
If you're not familiar with the authenticity of Laotian and Thai food, this is the place. Please make sure you temper your expectations of the usual "Americanized" Thai, Laotian cuisine.
At Erawan, you can expect real bold delicious flavors, such as fish sauce, raw fish sauce and curry. The dishes finely balance, sweet, sour, and salty. The aromatics will wet your palette while the spicy (hot pepper) level goes from 1-4, expect that it is "Asian Spicy" so be prepared!
Definite recommend!
(July 20, 2020, 7:36 pm)The food is really good. The staff is very nice and friendly. One more favorite authentic Asian restaurant added to my list. Pad Thai, Tom Yum, Som Tum and Mango Purple Rice with Thai custard are awesome.
(July 18, 2020, 11:16 pm)The best Thai food I have had so far. We were just visiting Columbus, and found it nearby on Google. It had good reviews, and I'm happy to add another. Nice, cozy dining room. Large portions. Excellent balance of flavors. I got yellow curry with beef, maximum spicy. The pineapple was so sweet, and the sauce was so rich, and the spiciness kept my eyes watering the whole time, which is exactly what I wanted. My girlfriend got Panang curry with chicken, non spicy. I tasted hers as well, and also enjoyed the perfect blend of rich, fresh, savory, Thai flavors.
(January 21, 2020, 11:18 pm)A friend recommended this place, so I thought I'd try it. Hole in the wall, weird location, doesn't look like much... But YO. The staff is fantastic and the food was shockingly good and of great quality. Absolutely worth a trip to this random location for a good Thai meal.
(June 1, 2019, 8:00 pm)Been coming here for years. There have been ups and downs. Mostly ups because the food is really good. The place has been cleaned up a bit and looks better. Still simple and small. But comfortable and homey. All Thai dishes except for the Pho. No alcohol sales but you can BYOB! Not located in one of the better areas in town. cheap+ delicious=worth a visit.
