  It doesn't really exist quite yet, but the trails along the west side of the river are good hiking. They are rough and offer a nice change of pace from the well groomed trails already available in the other area parks. I hope when they complete the park, they keep those rough trails just the way they are. There are plenty of places to take a nature walk in Columbus. But this is one of the few places you can get a taste of a good hike with some technical challenges.

  It isn’t open yet... but there may or may not be a way you can run in from the north near the Indian village. There will be nice areas near the river. The central area is just a big open muddy field right now that they are leveling. There is a nice water fall that we called VW falls years (decades?) ago when we went iceclimbing there in the winter. The pool below the falls contains the remains of a VW Beetle with the magnesium engine. There are a lot of deer and ducks to be found here.
