  My husband Zach and I had such a great time learning from Dan at Columbus Self-Defense. He was thorough and addressed our specific safety concerns. He taught us strategies and tactical tools to maintain and protect our safety as well as how to simply be aware of our surroundings. We feel confident in what we took away from our hands-on, personalized session. Highly recommend this class for anyone who is curious, has been through trauma or just wants a new set of tools. The hope is always to have them and not need them. With Columbus Self-Defense, we now know what to do if we’re ever in a threatening situation. Thanks, Dan!

  I went with a few ladies from work and not only did we have fun but we learned a lot. I definitely feel more comfortable and confident knowing I have a plan on how to defend myself.

  Suitable for all ages. My teenage daughters and nieces, my mom, and I did an hour of self-defense training with Dan, and we all loved it. My mom wants to take another class! The class was very informative, and we had a lot of fun. We all learned a lot, and I now feel more secure with my daughters and nieces going places on their own. The price of the class was well worth it.

  After training in a couple different styles of Kung Fu in my youth I found Dan and started training with him around 2001. After a couple of years and a shoulder surgery later I once again found Dan around 2005 and have been a long time private student of his since. The training itself is unparalleled just in technique and thoroughness alone and can be adapted to fit any situation whether it be standing, ground fighting, weapons, meditations/mind sciences, strategies, etc. By learning proper techniques and gaining the muscle memory to apply what is learned, it simply is the ultimate self-defense tool! I have always been a strong proponent of private instruction as well. Having the ability to learn one-on-one and to break down every technique detail by detail down to its very core just makes the training even more intense. I can’t begin to emphasize enough the positive impact that private instruction with Dan has had on my life. Not only has it made me more confident in my fighting and self-defense capabilities, but it has also improved my overall energy level, balance, self-awareness, hand-eye coordination and reflexes just to name a few. If you’re looking for top notch self-defense and world class technique, private instruction with Dan is definitely the way to go!
