(September 16, 2022, 12:32 am)This is the fair my father went to when he was growing up. This is the fair he took me to when I was growing up. This is the fair I started to take my kids to. My oldest was 3 months old his first trip to the fair. Every year, we would take pictures of my Dad holding his grandchild or grandchildren sitting on a tractor. When my oldest was 8, we moved away. This year was the first time we've been back to the fair in 16 years. We now have a picture of my Dad sitting on a tractor, with his 3, now adult, grandchildren surrounding him. You don't know how precious something is until you don't have it. To be able to see the fair through my childrens' eyes was whatever is beyond amazing. We recalled memories and laughed and just had a fun time together. You can't buy those memories. You can only collect them at the fair!
(September 1, 2022, 11:12 pm)The oldest county fair in Ohio..great history and a lot of original buildings...the fair is always on labor day weekend so the fruits and vegetables on display are at their peak of harvest....
(September 6, 2021, 11:27 pm)This year 199th Burton Festival was AWESOME! Bathrooms were clean, the grounds was clean, and there were tons of food vendors and rides! The events were awesome too! Circus trapeze, the sea lion show were awesome! Magic show was in a terrible spot b/c of the sun, but still good. The only thing I could suggest to make it better is maybe a toddler play area? The band was nice! Parking was easy. They had a shuttle bus. U could buy tickets online so you dont have to stand in line, which was very very nice!
(September 6, 2021, 5:54 pm)Perfect weekend for the Great Geauga County Fair. The food was awesome and the barns were loaded with great farm animals attended by the children who worked very hard to get them ready for winning some ribbons. Everyone did super jobs to help make it a success. I loved it. Did not do the rides but judging by the screaming of adventurers I knew they were having fun. Lol
