Eldon Russell Park

This is a hidden gem. Great place, not crowded, picturesque and a kayaking wonderland.

Definitely one of my favorite parks. Great canoe/kayak launch. Trails are well maintained, giving alll a great trek through the woods.

This was my first time visiting.
Caught my first ever smallmouth!
The river was about 8" out of it's normal banks.

I can't speak to the trails, but the connecting portion of the Cuyahoga river is incredible for kayaking and canoeing. One of the upstream stops on the Cuyahoga river water trail, it's an easy upstream paddle and return to the park. Much of the river is canopied, making it comfortable even in full sun.

Went kayaking, upstream. Hit 3 tough trees to pass, then 35 minutes up, unpassable tree. Water level is way down. Some stretches as little as 8".
