Went in because they came highly recommended for running shoes from my bosses who are competitive runners. I explained how I know nothing about running anymore and they said no problem. They evaluated my walk and jog stride. Then they brought 6 shoes out that suited my walk and run. Then had me test them out and compare each one.
Ended up with the Brooks Ghost 15. I can confidently say my legs and feet felt way better after a 3 mile jog than they have in a while.
Really wish I had gotten the gentleman's name, but my wife and I went on 11/12/23 on Sunday RIGHT when they opened and spoke with someone. We loved finding a place like this as my wife has recently gotten into running and was having issues as far as comfort/numbness, so it was important to us that we could get a proper fit/recommendation.
The employee walked us through a bunch of options after looking at her feet/how she walked, explained the differences between those options and why one type would work over another, was extremely helpful budget wise(don't go in expecting to spend less than $100, but we spent $140 which is EXACTLY how much you'd spend on Amazon without the fit/customer service) and answered all my dumb questions! Did I mention, the fit/assistance WAS FREEEEE. I assumed they'd mark up the shoes to account for this, but they're identical in price as you'd see online!
Tried on around 4-5 shoes, again, was SUPER patient and let her walk around/run on the treadmill before she decided she was in love with the pair. She came home and restarted her week on C25K and it is an insane night and day difference! Runners Plus was amazing, will go no where else for running shoes. I only wish they also had a cycling store. 10/10 will recommend this(already have) to everyone I know. Thanks guys!!!
I visited this wonderful store whilst on vacation from England .I first went to the store at brown st ,Dayton where a very helpful gentleman served me and mentioned to me that the fairborn store had the shoes i wanted in stock .I must say the service I received from Robin was absolutely fantastic.Thank you Robin for your kindness and knowledge in the running field .Kindest regards mario 🇬🇧 🇬🇷
Very helpful young man that runs for Wright State track and cross country teams got my son into training shoes.
He spent time looking at his gait and also talked about his own experiences running. We walked out with new spikes as well.
Far better experience than fighting the masses at a large box store, and also far more to choose from.
I would definitely suggest coming here if your kid is a serious runner.
