(June 1, 2020, 1:56 pm)I am an HHA/PCA that works for a private Home Health Agency. One of my Clients resides at The Kenwood. I am "in house" for 12 hour shifts, several times a week there. I have to say that the front end staff and dining room staff have to be one of the friendliest and most helpful staffs I've seen. I work at and have worked at other Senior Living Residences and they do not offer the same levels of hospitality or professionalism that I've seen at The Kenwood. As a caregiver, coming into one of these types of facilities from an outside private organization, we are not always treated well, respected, or helped out. This is just a fact. None of that could be further from the truth in regard to The Kenwood. It's a pleasure to come here as often as I'm required to, and I've been very impressed with how well they treat my Client, other Residents and those of us that have to come in and out of here to perform our duties from outside organizations. It is a beautiful, extremly well kept and impeccably managed Senior Living Residence.
(April 28, 2020, 5:06 pm)I want to thank all of the administrators and associates for taking such good care of my parents and all of the other Assisted Living residents at The Kenwood these days. Although I was sad to have to cancel my trip to see my parents in March, I am SO GRATEFUL that you closed the Kenwood to visitors as early as you did. I was impressed with the letter you sent out before the April holidays encouraging families NOT to take the residents out. I was also so pleased to have a nice video chat with my folks last week! So great you have encouraged this kind of staying in touch. You are doing all the right things to try to keep the community safe in careful and caring ways!
I'm writing today especially because some wonderful person (I don't know who), who works on assisted living I presume, did some artwork/writing on my Mom and Dad's living room window a few weeks ago. I want you to know that now, every time I speak with my mom, (or sometimes twice in the same conversation, LOL), she tells me:
"Over there on the window in big letters it says 'You Are Loved'. Isn't that wonderful?"
This has made my mom so happy! I think and hope that seeing You Are Loved on her window every day reminds her and my Dad that I and others, even though we can't visit, love them so much! This means so much to me and I think to mom as well!!! So special!!! So thoughtful and wonderful!!!

Since joining the Community Relation Team and learning about the culture here, I know I made the right decision for myself and my family. It has been so heart warming with all the kindness and smiles I’ve received from my fellow Teammates and Residents. I am so excited to be a part of such a great Team of Professionals and look forward to serving along side them in providing the very best experiences for our Residents, families and guest.
(October 10, 2019, 11:09 am)My grandmother was reluctant to move into a Senior Community at first, but we knew it was the best thing for her. After the first meeting with The Kenwood, a few special staff members made her feel extremely welcome and that's all it took. She was there for about two years before she passed, but the staff always treated her so well. We as a family always knew she was in good hands if we weren't able to be there. The staff was always friendly and helpful to our family as well.
(November 15, 2017, 9:00 pm)It’s a very nice facility for what it is. Seems like they try to do a lot to enhance the community. And their facilities are all clean and well kept up. Staff has been nothing but exceptional to me and my grandparents. Plus I had a delicious beet salad at dinner.
