I attended a 90 minute introduction to mindfulness workshop with Mark Levine. Mark is very knowledgeable and is able to transfer that knowledge to the attendees of his seminars. Mark was an exceptional supervisor to me as I entered into my new career path of providing counseling and therapy to veterans struggling with substance abuse. Mark is extremely knowledgeable and I tried to learn as much as I could from him, and he also always pushed and challenged me to read books about addiction, the brain, and recovery. Mark was a great listener, empathetic, but also gently pushed me outside my comfort zone to be better in different areas as a therapist. The seminar I attended was very informative as well as extremely helpful as Mark outlined what anxiety is and then gave practical techniques in helping you to overcome anxiety. Mark is friendly, approachable, and deeply knowledgeable. Through our discussions, he was able to help me target stressors that were causing me to hold my breath and creating a tremendous amount of physical tension throughout my body.
