(November 15, 2019, 6:16 pm)My beautiful mother lived to be 100 years old. Unfortunately, in her 98th year she developed Dementia. The last month or so of her life, she started to fail quickly and the doctor said they could keep trying to fix any problems that developed (assuring us that these problems would continue to come back), or we could make her comfortable. As difficult a decision as it was, because we wanted her here with us, we chose comfort knowing that we wouldn't have her much longer. The doctor suggested hospice, and we were fortunate enough to have a family friend that worked for Grace Hospice. I can only say that during my mother's last few difficult months choosing Grace Hospice was probable the best decision that I ever made. I can never truly express how the love and care that the family at Grace Hospice gave to my beautiful mother helped her, as well as my family. They took care of her like she was a part of their family. I could tell, by the way my mother reacted towards them, that she was very happy with them. When you are in a situation involving an end of life situation such as we faced, I can say with all my heart that choosing Grace Hospice helped me, both during and after the passing of my mother, and both my mother and the rest of us were truly blessed to have chose them.
