Went with family. Kids loved the childrens museum area. It has some museum exhibits mixed in with the playground/science type attractions. The natural history area was nicely done and interesting. Medium in size, taking about 2-3 hours to go through. The history section to the south is more focussed on the local city itself and space is about taken up by a gigantic scale model with lights, trains, etc. Fun but short. Overall it was a good full day for a very reasonable cost
Such a beautiful museum inside & out! Absolutely loved our time here with the family! So much to see, learn, and experience. We really enjoyed all the exhibits and seeing all the uniqueness that this museum has to offer! We went on a busy weekend day, but it was still a wonderful experience and it didn’t feel crowded due to the sheer size of the place. We really enjoyed our time, and would recommend anyone in the area makes the time to go and experience it themselves!
This is a favorite place of mine and well worth the trip if in Cincy or if you’re really into trains or just buildings in general. It is the largest half dome in the Northern hemisphere and second largest in world. This place is simply amazing. Right now they have an exhibit about Cincinnati inventions that was really cool. I was hoping the Cave would have been open but it was not. I used to go into the old museum cave as a kid and it was really cool. I highly recommend taking the free tour of the rotunda.
We went here for the wedding reception of my wife’s cousin. What a place for it! We had a great time and especially enjoyed the museum being open during cocktail time. The kids got to run around and play on the mechanical exhibits and one of my daughters and I got lost in the Ice Age. There were some amazing and well-put-together visuals for adults and kids. As for the wedding reception itself, the place was beautiful, spacious, and very clean and modern. It was a wonderful place to celebrate a wedding.
Came here with my 22 mo old and my 3.5 year old. Was nervous that they would find any of it interesting and was pleasantly surprised. They LOVED it. The Children’s Museum is excellent. The Art Deco architecture is world class. It’s a really fun place and I’m glad we spent our afternoon here. We had a little over 2 hours and had to run through the last bit. I wish we’d of had more time because our boys were obsessed.
