St. Bernard is a small church community with a very big heart. I have been attending mass at St. Bernard for a couple years, and I have always felt welcomed. They go out of their way to make newcomers feel at home, and have extended this welcome to the Hispanic community in the area for many years. The church and the church community remind me of my childhood church community back home in Panamá. I feel blessed to have found St. Bernard.
Went to the Fish Fry last night. Very generous portions and really good food. I have been with this parish for 8 or 9 years. It is a nice small parish that makes it easy to get to know everyone by their first name. I am so happy I found this place.
Saint Bernards used to have a motto, "A Small Church where God's love is made big!" It is still applicable and even if you join us to make it bigger, it will continue to be a source of love, awareness of God's presence and an incredible community that serves others and empowers us when we are vulnerable to seek consolation and hope in the God who guides us and gifts us with one another! Please come check us out on Sunday at 9:30 AM, Tuesday and Thursday at 8AM, and Wednesday at noon. Gratitude and thanksgiving to the Jesuits who provide Masses and inspiration, and Sr. Margie Niemer, who shepherds us!!!
My husband and I have been parishioners since 1980. The church building is cozy and welcoming and it has a mighty congregation. Members are involved in all aspects of vibrant ministries: music, prayer, social justice, ministry to neighbors in need and so much more. This little parish has more good stuff going on than many larger parishes. Your presence would be welcome.
St Bernards has been our home for many years. We have always felt welcome and part of a family. If you are looking for acceptance their is no place better. Non judgemental, no questions just acceptance. A great Place
