Crosby Community Church

I love this church! I was initially introduced to this church by my then girlfriend and immediately received a very warm welcome, which I especially appreciate because I'm not from the Cincinnati area and can sometimes feel like an outsider. The head pastor Doug could not have been more personable and friendly to me. I love Doug's energy, passion, and enthusiasm for the word of God, for the body of believers, and for reaching the lost. The encouragement I have felt since coming to this church has been incredibly POWERFUL, like nothing I have ever experienced before!!! Every Sunday, I come with all of the burdens I'm carrying from the week, sometimes even anxious, weary, shame, overwhelmed, or frustrated. Before the sermon even starts, Doug will consistently get on stage with the biggest smile and say how happy and excited he is that we're here and how glad he is that he gets to spend this time with us in the word. I can't even put into words how refreshing and lifegiving it is! There's this feeling of pure joy when I see just how passionate and excited he is. By the end of the sermon, I sometimes can't even remember what was bothering me that week, or if I do, I have peace with it. His passion and enthusiasm have greatly strengthened my faith and given me a desire to dig deeper into my relationship with God and also to build others up. I've experienced God speaking through Doug in my life and seen the fruit of those teachings take root in my life, and it's beautiful! Crosby Community is truly my family when I'm away from family.

As the pastor’s daughter, I’ve attended this church since birth and over the years, I’ve seen Crosby Community Church adapt and learn how to best serve our community; however, the heart of who we are has never changed. We are a family who dives into God’s teaching and lives it out through the week. When I look around, almost every single person is plugged into multiple ministry outlets such as our weekly food ministry, children’s ministry, youth ministry, a Christian upward soccer league, and so many other opportunities. We love to love. We love to worship and we have a truly incredible worship band whose primary desire is to create a space where we can glorify God together. We love to be together — we have small groups where people can connect on a deeper level. We care deeply about making the gospel known to all nations. We say “yes” when an opportunity to love others comes up, and we trust that God will bring the people and resources to meet that need through us. And I can tell you as his daughter, our pastor is just as genuine when he steps off the platform as he is when he’s on it. I’m humbled by the example that our church has shown me of what it looks like to be a part of the body of Christ. We aren’t perfect, but we worship a perfect God together. My faith has always been important in my life, but it wasn’t until I started going to Crosby Community Church, that my relationship with God started to grow and really develop. I have been going to Crosby Community Church for about 2 years now. I grew up in a Catholic family, and I seemed to never really enjoy Mass. I prayed to God every night and I was taught how to talk to Him by my parents. As a child I went through very dark times, and I went to God to help guide me through them. When I look back now, I see how God really got me through those trials and tribulations as a young child. Right before Covid hit, I attended a bible study through Crosby Community Church. At this study, I downloaded the Holy Bible app and from that day on, I started to receive daily Bible verses. When Covid appeared, I had a lot of free time on my hands. I then started to study those daily verses and decided to start attending Crosby Community Church. This is when my eyes were spiritually opened. Pastor Doug has this special and unique way of explaining God and who Jesus is. I have never felt so loved and welcomed ever before until, I walked into the doors of Crosby Community Church. As my relationship started to grow, I started taking notes from Pastor Doug’s services. This then turned into me purchasing my first bible. In addition to diving into His word, I started to get myself healthy. God guided me through a weight loss journey of 35 pounds and through something that I never thought was possible. Through this journey and the support given to me from Crosby Community Church, I started to see my purpose in God’s eyes. I started to really see the importance of sharing God’s word with as many people as possible. A year into attending service at Crosby Community Church, I decided to get re-baptized. Pastor Doug was with me every step of the way and really showed me the importance of baptism. I have found my home and my God because of the love, support, and encouragement I felt from Crosby Community Church. I encourage anyone seeking a relationship with God or seeking to get to know who God is to attend a service at Crosby Community Church. My life changed for the better from the moment I stepped into this church.

This church is a genuine Biblical based family. From the moment you walk in you will have people of all backgrounds greeting you and showing you love. The teaching is Biblical and they live out the teachings in every day life. The people here are a great example of what the church is supposed to be not only on Sunday morning but throughout each and every day. I highly recommend this church if you want faithful to the Bible teaching, a loving atmosphere, serving opportunities and awesome small groups! Lastly i want to say once more this is a genuine church where people live scriptural teaching in and out of the building.

I've been going to Crosby Community Church since July and this is by far the best church I've ever attended. The people there are so welcoming and kind hearted ever since I started attending. They have so many events and opportunities to learn about and get close to God along with meeting other Christians. I would highly recommend coming here and being involved with the variety of the events that they hold.
