Shawnee Lookout

This is a beautiful Hamilton county park, that usually isn't too crowded. Learning about the Earthworks is fun and taking the trails to some amazing views is worth the effort. There are also plenty of picnic areas and nice playgrounds for the kids. If you enjoy golf there is a great and challenging course in the park. There is also boat access to the Great Miami River and for geocachers over a dozen caches to find.

An excellent park with trails and several spectacular overlooks. You might spot an eagle. Great canoe launch on the Great Miami river but it's a quarter mile from the parking lot. Perfect section of river for an all day trip.

Hikes are simple. Lookouts could be a lot better (they could open up the view some more), but it's a nice relaxing and not too crowded park. We have a toddler and we like to do the Little Turtle trail. Approx 2 miles and there is a playground at the trailhead that she can play on before/after our hike. Not much shade at the playground so be prepared for that.

Awesome place for family's get togethers. Plenty of room and private areas for reunions, etc. Highly recommend 👌

Lots of native history. Plenty of play space for kids. Walking trails and shelters for cook outs, etc.
