Last night I parked my truck in Pilot, looking for some food passed by this place at night, it was closed 😒😳. Today at afternoon I came back and Wow 🤯 everything is so 50's and fabulous, I got loss in between a pork chop an strawberry 🍓 shake! The ambient and decoration is so cute, cars, posters, tables and a Rockola. This place is super affordable, well seasoning and flavored. If you don't speak English the kitchen guy can help you with that. Everything is super, besides the attention is formidable! They short staff but no taking to long to serve your food and pilas, they close around 8:00 pm.
This place is very nice. The waitress have been so kind to us drivers. I sure miss places like this. Reminds me of the old days where almost every truck stop had a cafe and now it's all fast food. Hopefully this place stays for years to come
The American Road Diner is a wonderful step back in time to the 1950s. The diner's look is that of the heyday of America's early Rock& Roll and Hot Rod car years, with vintage wall hangings, a jukebox and comfortable booths that resemble those from that era. Not only will the restaurant's decor take you back in time, so will the wonderful service! The waitress/Manager who served me was a delight. She was cheerful and very attentive to every customer. The cook was quick with preparing the orders and I didn't have to wait very long at all. That kind of service is all too often a thing of the past, so it's refreshing to find it again.
But of course, the main reason for visiting is for good food, and your going to find it here. The menu is simple: breakfast, lunch and dinner options that aren't fancy but are what a person would have found in a Diner back then. I had a cheeseburger and fries and it was delicious! It was even served in the old fashioned wicker style basket with red and white checkered paper liner.
The restaurant is clean from the floors to the tables and chairs, even the condiment containers are spotless. It's obvious that the employees take great pride in their work.
This was my first visit to The American Road Diner and I was highly impressed. I will come back every time I'm in the area.
