The library has many historical documents on local areas nor available in other places, and some originals the copies of which are available at the Schiappa Library. However, many of these precious originals are deteriorating and are in desperate need of preservation. It's a great credit to the keepers of the library that those documents are still around.

The Jefferson County Historical Museum is located in Steubenville Ohio. It is a very unique place housing artifacts about Steubenville going back many years. The museum hosted my daughter's wedding in November. The two gentlemen that showed us the place were so nice pleasant and downright adorable. If you get a chance to stop by the museum please do so it is very interesting and informative.
