I would say great spot for fall color.. All trees turned yellow indeed.. Trailing though the colorful tree and view of the lake from the observation point was great experience. Have limited parking spot. There's picnic shelter and water fountains..
Great spot to get out and go for a hike and take in the views. Has a few hilly spots, but nothing unachievable. Fall is the best time to check out all the leaves changing, but spring is great too when things bloom.
Well marked biking and hiking trails. (A river runs through it.) River is part of a previous limestone quarry used for building the local Kirtland Temple. Originally used by Latter-day Saints and now owned by Community of Christ Church. The trail is a peaceful and cool respite from the local muggy weather!
Pretty nice park with a few different hiking trails. Park also has swings and monkey bars for kids. Trail has small rocks. Nice scenery.
Edit: Did the blue trail and it was top notch! It had some hills so I would say it is intermediate but the view from up top was fantastic!! Do yourself and favor and do one of the trails to see the view!! 👌🏽👌🏽
Another beautiful metro park that I had the pleasure to explore with my wife. This place is so expansive and well kept. The views are stunning whether you are looking out over the trees or deep in the woods. Perfect day in the light rain as the canopy really keeps you dry.
