Spring Valley Nature Preserve

Beautiful trail for the winter. The creek froze over and we could walk through so many areas bc of it.

We are a family of 4 (2 kids under 7) and have ventured out here about 5 or 6 times so far over the last two months and have enjoyed every visit. Through snow, ice, rain and all we've really enjoyed this nature preserve and are looking forward to more visits.

It doesn't take much for us to enjoy the outdoors - we take it all in when we can. But so far it's been great seeing this preserve not littered with trash (which is an unfortunate common occurance in many places).

By end of February our family had hiked through all the trails. Some are certainly more of a trek, mostly due to steep inclines. But there are some really pretty views through out.

Several times we noticed people using the larger lower shelter - once had a fire going in the fireplace which we didn't even know was there beforehand.

Even if you are not up for a hike there's a place for you to enjoy here.

Overall a nice nature preserve with some great trails. One of the trail apps recommended a trail that's not completed and says at the preserve as proposed trail. There is some more than average trail maintenance going on in some areas but the maps at the trailhead doesn't mention any new trails. I liked all of the trails. Each one offered a different challenge. There are creek crossings, moderately steep parts of some trails and some that had lots of curves.

Fantastic hiking spot! I love the winding trails throughout the woods. Very serene & peaceful. This is definitely my new favorite place to work out.

Spring Valley is an awesome place to hike! So peaceful, and nice trails. You will normal see some deer and lots of critters. Fun family activity!
