Matt Chase listens carefully and pays attention to his clients preferences. We were thankful for his directness in place of your typical sales pitch. When we started the hunt, Matt took us to look at a variety of houses at a few different price points with the intention of narrowing down what we like and dislike. He closed his mouth and opened his ears. Too many salespeople do not understand this simple concept. The second time we went to look at houses we narrowed it down further and then finally we found the perfect house. I know many people who looked at dozens upon dozens of homes before finding the house. I think this is because they have a realtor that doesn’t listen or pay attention.

When it came down to negotiations Matt helped with strategy and although he let me take the lead on offers and counters, he gave good practical advice based on his experience. I am 100% confident that Matt helped get us the best deal.

At one point, the seller on a house we ended up not ultimately buying offered Matt a higher commission percentage if he closed us at a certain price. A tempting offer to anyone. Matt instead asked the seller to deduct what the commission increase would have been from the price that we would pay. It was more important to Matt to get us a better deal than to cash a bigger check.
