Independence Village Avon Lake

I cannot say enough good things about Independence Village Avon Lake. The staff treats & cares for the residents like family. There’s constant fun & activities that the staff prepares & you can see how much joy it brings to each resident! The community is clean, the meals are incredible and I couldn’t think of a better place for a family member to be cared for!

Our first impression of the Independent Living residences was and continues to be AMAZING! Our family member joined the Independence Village family as a resident one month ago. It was a difficult transition, not uncommon. One month later, she is smiling, happy, making friends, and joining the activities. The communication between all concerned is fantastic!The amicable staff knows the residents by name. The residents are friendly and welcoming. The apartments are beautiful. The activities are fun and plentiful. The dining provided by Chef Phil and his culinary team is delicious. Such a warm and welcoming community compared to others I’ve experienced. Thanks to all of you for your compassion and dedication!!!

We became a part of this community a little over a month ago, and we are so happy with the care that is being given to our loved one. The caregivers are compassionate and concerned about our loved one's happiness and well being; residents have the same caregivers so a relationship is formed. The activity director and her staff keep the residents involved in a myriad of events that engage, teach, and entertain. I am so awed by how the staff really know these residents, even creating events based on their interests. Birthdays and special occasions are celebrated in such a way as to make the resident feel so special. The administrative team is not behind closed doors, but is hands on. Their communication across department heads is exemplary and is intended to improve the quality of life for each person living there. When choosing this facility, four people recommended it in one week. I'm glad we listened!

I love working here! The staff are all so friendly, and helpful! I was so nervous when I first started here (it's been a whole year!) But everyone treated me wonderfully, and this is truly the first time I've ever said I Love my job! The Life Enrichment team is amazing, the outings, and fun entertainment is loved by residents, families, and staff! The wellness staff work hard and are always helpful. The response of getting a hold of any upper management here is quick and efficient!I would recommend this place not only to work but also for a loved one!

I work as a caregiver from an outside company for one of the residents. This is a wonderful facility! Everyone who lives here seems so happy and content, just enjoying their day. The staff always has a smile on their face. Everytime I walk through the doors, I am excited to be working!
