I didn’t start taking lessons until I was 40 years old. I am now 64 and still enjoying taking a lesson once a week. Its never too late to start riding! I chose North Crest because it offered an opportunity to enjoy one on one time tacking and grazing the horse and having private lessons to learn at my own pace. I have learned so much from the well informed trainers and barn staff . I’ve also made many friends from the barn.

I started lessons at North Crest in August 2017 and I have been going weekly ever since. I am a beginner rider and the amount of improvement I have made since then is more than I could imagine. Everyone I have met at the barn is very friendly and all of the horses are well taken care of - spoiled most of the time (but that's how it should be). Julie Taylor is a wonderful trainer and person. She is patient, kind and always makes me feel safe when riding. With Julie's experience/background, I feel lucky to have her train me. I have had only a few lessons with Nina and Annie (the other two instructors) and they as well are wonderful trainers to work with. I highly recommend North Crest for beginner and experienced riders.
