Meijer

The store is clean and well organized. There were a few items that were out of stock due to Thanksgiving. I appreciated them being open on the 23rd so I could get a few items.

A cleaner, more well put together option for a big box "hypermarket." Good selections, clearance items, and store branded items are good quality. Sushi is NOT good however. Otherwise, a great alternative to the competition. Edit: Keeping the shelves stocked is an issue sometimes, especially popular items and sale items. Still a good place to shop with good deals.

It's hit or miss here... the value is shopping for the discounted items, they do have decent specials and quality has been good. The bad, self check out... hot food case can be dry... the "grab and go" pre-packaged deli meat used to be well stocked, but has been limited as of late... Meijer could do better, but there's worse.

I come up here during the summer and go out of my way to shop here. I have a Meijer close to me where I live and they could learn a lot from the Lorain Meijer. Lorain Meijer is clean, well organized, well staffed and has what I need. While they still have a lot of self check outs in use, I’ve been able to utilize a real cashier every time I’ve gone And they are always friendly and quick. I’ve stopped at the customer service desk also and never have to wait.
