Tuition here is affordable. I would recommend St Peter to anyone who wasn't sire where to send their child to preschool. I don't attend the church here. “Very small but extremely friendly and loving congregation who appreciate everyone who walks through the door -the pastor engages the congregation with his well thought-out sermons based on scripture- always taking the time to give the children their own little sermon on the steps of the altar- a pianist accompanies the traditional hymns of worship- the congregation still engages in the Doxology -The Lord's Prayer- responsive scripture reading AND the Alleluia together- it is so refreshing to be comforted with the familiar in a Church service for a change nowadays. They shared Joys and concerns and pray corporately for their little community of which they are all involved- they most recently began a drive-thru communion service open to All Peoples of all faiths in their neighborhood the first Sunday of the month from 12 to 12:30- how Very thoughtful of them! I give them 5 stars😃😃😃😃😃”

“Wonderful people--I didn't feel well, and cause they had tons but only one 1x/mo, they loaded my truck bed up, 3ppl working for me at end of their hours--someone had fresh cherry tomatoes and hadn't had fresh in a long while, ut they were someo e's not part of the food pantry--O asked to try one, they encouraged me to take a handful--I got home andthewhole bi of then were in my truck bed--God Bless then--truly wonderful Retired Pastor & his wife, and a younger wo.aneith a special needs child, (not there, but chatting to be friendly, saying "This is my 'me time,'" and it put me to shame. I teared up leaving there for I felt SO blessed by those lovely folks--first thing once I was home, I wrote it on my calender--3rd Tues evening of every month--bc God willing that I feel well enough--and even if not--I'm going back to help them this month!”

“OK - I am biased - let's get that out of the way right away. I am one of the pastors here at ALUCC. But a review online isn't just about the pastors. The church is, after all, a community of people in service to one another and to God. ALUCC's motto is "Growing People to Serve God and Others" and it shows in everything the community does. If a person wants to be involved in local mission work, they can easily plug in here. If they want to come to bible studies, book studies and other small groups, this is a great place to be. If they want to be a wall flower, then that is ok, too! There is a thriving Children's ministry, youth ministry and family ministry. ALUCC HAS a true traditional service with impressive organ music and also a service with a worship band if that is more your speed. Avon lake UCC is a "Big Tent" church, and we openly welcome people with different theological, political and social backgrounds and ideas - this can make some people a little uncomfortable being around people that don't think exactly like they do. That's ok. That's how the world is, and that's how Christianity works. The goal is to point people to the message of God's saving love through Christ, who welcomes all people. I'll leave the reviews for the pastors to other people since I can't be objective (Ha!), but as far as the church community is concerned, they are a 5-star bunch!”
