(October 6, 2020, 4:13 pm)Great experience for younger fossil hunters. I actually hunted for fossils at the quarry around 40 years ago here. It is vastly different now. The area has large piles of rock/gravel in areas that lend themselves to finding small fossils. Along the edges of the area are larger rock that can be split to find fossils also. I would suggest bring a small hammer and chisel even though they say it is not needed.

(July 12, 2020, 2:33 pm)A cool place for kids to find little fossils. Don't expect to find dinosaurs. Trilobites and braciopods mostly. A very knowledgeable staff was there to help identify fossils for the youngsters.
