My Aunt received rehab care at this facility for a fall that she had over this past winter. We knew she was in great hands after meeting the floor nurses, one being the ADON. They made sure she was comfortable and asked if she needed anything to eat since she arrived later in the evening. Very thoughtful! Her therapy was very successful. They always kept us in the loop. She regained her confidence and strength and was able to discharge back home! One thing that she still talks about are the daily activities... She misses them so much! This facility isn't the prettiest or most glamorous but what lacks in physical beauty it makes up for in humanity and care. I highly recommend Toledo Healthcare for short or long term needs!
My mother was a resident here and absolutely loved this nursing home. She said nursing staff was wonderful and treated you like family and that many of the nurses and aids had worked there for 30+ years and really cared about the patients. She remarked that the building could use some updates, but it never made her feel like she was unsafe or dirty. We had visited a few other nursing homes when deciding which one to place mom in, and this was the only one that didn't have a smell of urine or that "sick" smell that hospitals tend to have. The residents appeared happy and looked like their hygiene needs were met and everyone treated mom very well.
This facility is a great place to work. Everyone helps one another like family. We care for our residents as if they were our own family. Activities happen all day long. Staff is friendly and always willing to help in any way possible. Please, feel free to stop in to visit and take a tour if considering a facility for your loved one. Thank you for taking a moment to read my post. Marilee Might
