Carolyn Ludwig Mugrage Park

This is such an amazing park. It has something for kids from toddler's to older kids. There is enough play equipment for everyone and plenty of places for parents to sit. There is also a nice walking path around the pond where you can watch the ducks. Highly recommend.

Great park for my grandson, the Playland is top notch. The trails are perfect when I take my dog for our walks. The lake is also beautiful. Restrooms are perfectly placed by thr Playland and one on the other side by the dog park. The pavilion is also great for picnics.

This is a great park. There is a nice paved trail for when bad weather makes trail running too muddy. The "story walk" was so fun when my kids were young! Kudos to whoever created that! Now my preference is the unpaved trail thru the woods. The park district does a great job with the trail, even blowing off the leaves with a mobile leaf blower in the fall making it less likely to trip over roots. This park also has the best dog park-my dogs take off and run like crazy as soon as we enter the gate. It's the only dog park I know of where you can hike thru the woods as your dogs run around with various packs of other dogs.

Not really the fault of the park but there was a guy chasing kids around on the playground. Totally made it hard for small children to enjoy for fear of being pushed to the ground and trampled. At one point he said it was "ok" for my grandson to play with him and I told him not it wasn't ok- very inappropriate behavior for an adult at a playground for young children. The bad vibe made the whole experience stressful.

This park is the place to let your kids &/or dogs come to romp. Fantastic playground for kids, fishing in the pond (3 catch limit per day), paved walk around the pond and through the woods, and a wonderful dog run area. You'll find a couple of picnic tables and benches tucked away for those who want to simply sit and enjoy the views.
