Apex Church

I briefly attended Apex in college, almost 15 years ago. Upon moving back to the area I looked at churches all over, and something kept drawing me back here. Apex is filled with great people who are doing what they can to worship God and serve the community. I never feel like anyone is putting on a show here or trying to be something they're not. Just good, genuine people. I also found it very easy to get plugged in and to serve. Highly recommend Apex!

Have been a part of this church throughout my life and really believe this body is one of the most solid I've ever seen. The worship is great, the sermons are truthful, and the doctrine biblical. Definitely look into getting plugged into a house church, having that family is invaluable!

This is a great church. It is a church that believes in conservative values and the whole Bible, while using modern worship to praise an amazing God. There are a few campuses, and have several services at each campus. But to warn the newer believer. THIS IS A CONSERVATIVE CHURCH! They do not condone hating anyone for any reason, but they do teach to not condone any sin called out in the New testament: ie, Galatians 5:19-21. They will not bash or reject, but they will not condone. If you have any questions on this please ask the pastor's directly.

The church has very good outreach with ministries in Asia, Eastern Europe, Northern Africa, and North and South America. They do local outreach in Dayton and greatly believes in helping the orphaned around the area with several members fostering and adopting local children. They work with troubled families to put children back into their original homes as well as council parents and guardians.

This church believes heavily in community, and pushes small groups greatly. In the small groups they will also set up quads, a group of 4 (+/- 1) men or women that should become very close and hold each other accountable for growth. They should look out for each other, council each other, pray for each other.

This is a church that is for a believer, or a person who wants to believe, that wants to grow closer to God, not just show up for a sermon. They DO NOT condone sin. Not sin based on the laws that God created to separate the Israelites from the Canaanites, but sin that the two greatest laws of loving God and loving your neighbor as yourself were defined as in Acts, Romans, Galatians, etc. If you have any questions on what the scope of those two laws are, you can talk to one of the pastors. But those two great laws lay out the core of what Apex is and believes, Love.

We have been attending for about 5 years now. Both my husband and I feel the Lord has used Apex to grow our faith and view of what a Christ follower really looks like through the various people and ministries at Apex. They are truly Christ focused and people focused. If you're not used to a larger Church service as we weren't, just know it takes time. More importantly it takes getting plugged into a house church to really get that close knit Church community you need or might be used to from a smaller Church. There are people ready to help you and love you.

An unbelievably exciting church. I was raised in a traditional church and Apex was a refreshing change. You are welcomed from the moment your foot enters the door. I was amazed at how many young people were in attendance. The atmosphere is relaxed, the music is great and it is worshipper friendly.
