A surprisingly nice museum run by the department of energy documenting nuclear research and production in the area. Worth stopping if you are visiting the mound next door.
Interesting free museum that displays Miamisburg’s roll in the Cold War by building nuclear triggers and stuff.
This place was an awesome find. Such a rich piece of history for our country. The inside of the building with the carpet and blacklights are cool. Be advised though, you have to be interested in this, and you can't be lazy and have to read to take it all in. This area and the intelligent staff that worked at Mound Labratories helped our great country beat the USSR.
This is a great museum! The topic is so interesting, and the stories that are told are really interesting- I would have never guessed that such a significant site existed right here under my nose. Mandy and the team at the Center were especially helpful when my group and I were starting out our research into the Dayton Project- we were given lots of good information and pointed in the direction of numerous good sources.
Great place to take a blast to the past! And all right here in the Miami Valley. I had no clue there was so much Cold War history in our backyard!
