Bartlett's Old Orchard Motel

This is now used to help people with SUD. It is well maintained and all of us residents take pride in having a place like this to call home for the time being to learn how to live sober, productive lives!

It’s actually a sober living campus. Beautiful property, and well taking care of! Management really cares about residents. A lot of work was put in this place and helping recovering addicts learn a new way to live !!!

I got into a car accident on Christmas Eve and this place was within mins from the impound. At first I was a little hesitant but did not have much of a choice as there were no Lyft / Uber in the area. Have not stayed in a motel. Below are my thoughts:

Pros:
1.) They accept credit / debit card
2.) Shoveled path to room
3.) Room was clean
4.) Nice little bathroom w/ functional shower, toilet & faucet
5.) Provided soap, toilet paper and clean towels
6.) Decently warm during 17 degrees and below weather
7.) Relatively comfy bed
8.) Lights illuminated the room
9.) Outlets worked fine
10.) Modest price for a single room

Cons:
1.) Room smelled like cigarette smoke!

Advice to management:
1.) Designate smoking / non-smoking rooms
- Charge more for smoking rooms
- Penalize those that smoke in a non-smoking room
- Clean the smell from the rooms designated to be non-smoking
2.) Provide mini shampoo & conditioner
3.) Have razors and shaving cream available at front desk
4.) Get actual trash cans for rooms

Summary: Great place for the price. Just wished my room didn't smell like smoke. Still recommend though.

Yes it was a little dated, but it was clean, their were no bugs or anything like that anywhere (I checked), the owners were very nice, and it was without a doubt worth the price. I would for sure recommend it to anyone who needs a place to sleep for a night or two.
