Towpath Trail- Lake Ave. Trailhead

The towpath is a great activity to do over several trips. At over 100 miles long there is so much to see and so much history as well. Spend the time to ride or walk it and enjoy the towns along the way. There is always a great restaurant within riding distance of the path.

Nice little spot to start a run, bike ride, or walk your pet. It's well maintained, but this location is a bit steep in some areas so I don't recommend this trailhead for someone who needs the flatter parts of the towpath. If it's been raining a lot, this probably isn't the best towpath location to start because it often floods under the bridge after heavy rains or after snow melts.

A great trailhead, good parking, well maintained, and good for dog walking, running, and cycling.
