Olesia's Taverne of Richfield

This is my first time dining in the restaurant- I have been ordering takeout for a while due to the pandemic but I went with my cousin to dine inside and the restaurant was beautiful!!!

The reason I am leaving 4 instead of 5 stars has nothing to do with the food. The food was excellent. But our waiter made me a bit uncomfortable. He was very touchy - patting mine and my cousins shoulders as he talked, and he leaned over the table to look down at my romper (he said he was trying to figure out if it was a dress or not). Maybe he was trying to be personable but being a young woman and him being much older I just felt it was very odd.

Other than that, the food was amazing. I got the chicken paprikash soup which I will always recommend!

Worth the wait and deserving of the hype, Olesia’s is everything you would want in a neighborhood tavern but the food is absolutely elevated fine dining. We have never had a bad time here and the service has been too notch. Would recommend the wedge salad, beet martini, and stuffed cabbage.

Delicious food! Had reservations on Saturday night, interior of restaurant is fabulous. Ordered an espresso martini that was delicious. Our table also ordered some appetizers: deviled eggs, Buffalo cauliflower bites and lobster and crab bisque. I had the Olesia’s Platter as my entree - the stuffed cabbage was better than my grandmas! I was also impressed that you were able to support Ukraine by purchasing a t-shirt. Would highly recommend!

The overall experience was excellent! The hostess was a bit rude when we arrived. We were a party of 8 that came in for an early dinner (4:15ish). When we got there she was on the phone and we overheard her telling the person on the phone "We are not busy and you don't need a reservation." After seating us (at a table that was already set for 12 along with other large party tables) she proceeded to say "Next time you need reservations"... We looked around and we were the only table there.. wasn't until we were leaving that they became busy..
While I understand 8 people is a large table, this was the purpose of us going out early to beat the crowd and not take up a large amount of space.

Anyways the server was great and the food was AMAZING! If you are a fan of seafood I highly recommend the crab stuffed salmon!!

The decor is beautiful with fancy chandeliers, beautiful wallpaper, and a decorative fireplace. It's on the fancy and pricey side but well worth the money!

Oh and if you bring a baby there are NO changing stations in the bathroom FYI.. In this day in age I think every restaurant should have one regardless of how fancy it is! People such as myself take their babies everywhere!

I’ve been here a few times for lunch and dinner and it is always amazing! Delicious food, phenomenal service and fabulous decor! We decided to have my baby shower in the event space upstairs and wow, it was incredible! We worked with the event coordinator Nicole and she was absolutely spectacular! Could not have asked for a better experience! Beautiful space, incredible service, delicious food— everyone loved it!!! Highly recommend for dinner or an event!
