(October 20, 2019, 5:16 pm)I visited on Sunday. The museum has expanded quite a lot since the last time I visited (about 25 years ago). They have the original home, a log cabin, 1 room school house, barn full of farm equipment and railroad memorabilia. There is an annex displaying item from all US wars. Overall for a small community, they should be commended. And you should visit. No fee.
(September 16, 2019, 10:04 pm)We LOVE the 4th of July festival here each summer! We've also taken advantage of seminars that have been hosted here, as well as just enjoying the museum as a family. Always something new to learn each time we visit!

(April 8, 2018, 9:23 pm)We had a very pleasant view of the Historical Society museum from our car as we passed through Van Wert. From other reviews, we were delighted to learn that the workers take adequate time off to spend with their families.
