“Had a back up and main sump pump installed on a newly purchased home. Jody was responsive, on time, and affordable. He also gave me some recommendations for other local house trade professionals and will not push work that doesn’t need to be done just for the sake of making him extra money. Definitely happy I’ve found a trusted professional in the area already! :)”

Warren County Career Center

Address: 3525 OH-48, Lebanon, OH 45036, USA

University School

“Great education facility, and great adult ed program. Hugely improved from what it was ten years ago when I went for welding. David Guinn, the adult ed department head, is a man who really cares about the school and the students. If you sign up for the advanced manufacturing technology adult ed course, you will get a lot of great hands on experience, as well as a complete knowledge base. A piece of advice about the advanced manufacturing technology instructors: let Steve Abner do most of the teaching you receive, he is simply better at teaching. The other instructor, who co-teaches the course alongside him, Jeff, has his moments where he can really shine, but don't let him push you around and mess with you too much. My experience with Jeff has been mostly him telling stories about all the places he has traveled to and worked at, and telling me to "figure it out" and not actually helping or explaining things, or teaching, whenever I asked him for help or to explain something, and micromanages you. You might as well be learning without an instructor if Jeff is involved, because you are not being taught, anyway. Don't let him push you around, and turn to Steve for help and instruction.”

Go to Guys Exteriors

Address: 301 Riley Wills Rd, Lebanon, OH 45036, USA

Roofing contractor

“In May 2022 Go to Guys (GTG) installed on my one-story home an Atlas Pinnacle Pristine shingle roof and aluminum gutters with down spouts and a debris protector called Shur Flo Gutter Guard Protection. GTG was the prime on the roof install but they employed a sub to install the gutters, downspouts, and Shur Flo. Workmanship on the roof install was of high quality and they worked with me as I did some modifications during the install. I have had roofing nail popping problems in the past and when this tear-off was done they discovered that many of the decking board were starting to or had already lifted from the trusses. They nailed down all sheeting at no additional cast to me although I did have financial pad built in to the contract for a possible water damaged valley which was at tear-off found to be free of rot. The gutter sub did a great job installing the gutters and downspouts but was deficient in installing the Shur-Flo. GTG owner Richard Jackson, had to make many corrections for that part of the install. Talking to Richard about this discrepancy it became apparent that had I not caught it, it would have been assumed that the sub had done his work properly. Based on this I would highly recommend that you personally inspect if able or have Richard inspect any gutter protection device installed by a subcontractor before closing out this part of the contract. Also, I would caution those who employee any roofing contractor, including GTG, to carefully read over any specific installation details you have requested before signing the contract and handing over your down payment (GTG requires one). For example, I wanted a metal (aluminum) valley and he acknowledged that fact although he like almost all roofers gave me all the reasons why I should not do that but I insisted it be done. Anyway, I “thought” the metal valley was in the contract that I signed (later found out it was not) since we had just finished talking about it before I signed the contract. During the install they started to lay down a shingled valley and I had them stop. I spoke to Richard about this important omission. I eventually caved and went ahead with the shingle valley because I did not want to hold up the job any longer after being repeatedly delayed by rain and it was going to rain in a couple days hence. Why a metal valley? 1. Tree debris, a problem for me with silver maple trees near the house, slides much easier down a smooth valley. 2. Water erosion of the shingle surface stone over the years (think of the valley as the bottom of the Grand Canyon with water flowing in from both sides year after year). 3. Visual streaking as the years pass due to surface dirt washing down the valley. One final caveat, INSIST BEFORE WORK STARTS that Richard show you his a) workmanship warranty and b) that he is current on workman’s compensation insurance for protecting you from any worker injury or death on the job. He NEVER showed me either of these documents. Nearly a month has passed since the install and I still do not know what is his warranty is to me for the workmanship of roof and gutter. I guess I was contractually negligent in several ways, but the roof and gutters sure look pretty!”
